Attribution & Source Linking

We always provide clear attribution to original authors and publications. Every article links directly to the original source, driving traffic to content creators. Our AI-generated summaries are designed to complement, not replace, the original content. If any content owner wishes to have their content removed, we will do so promptly upon request.

Where Your Data is Stored

  • Backend hosting: Heroku (United States)
  • Database: PostgreSQL hosted on Heroku
  • Frontend hosting: Vercel (global CDN)

Security Measures

  • Passwords are hashed using secure algorithms (never stored in plain text)
  • All connections use HTTPS encryption
  • Session tokens are securely generated and expire automatically
  • Database access is restricted and encrypted

Data Retention

  • Account data: Retained until you delete your account
  • Activity data: Retained while your account is active
  • Server logs: Automatically purged after 30 days
  • Article summaries: Retained to provide historical access

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate:

OpenAI API

We use OpenAI's GPT-4 to generate article summaries and importance ratings. Article content sent to OpenAI is processed according to their privacy policy. OpenAI does not use API data to train their models. No user data is sent to OpenAI.

Google OAuth

If you choose to sign in with Google, authentication is handled through Google's OAuth service according to their privacy policy. We only receive basic profile information (email, name, ID) that you authorize.

Heroku & Vercel

Our backend runs on Heroku and frontend on Vercel. These services may collect server logs and performance metrics according to their respective privacy policies.

Our service includes links to external websites (Search Engine Land, Search Engine Journal, etc.). When you click these links, you are subject to the privacy policies of those websites.

Your Rights
